Current Business

  • Principal Update (Mike Benoit). 

    • Kids are back in school! 

      • Things have been manageable - students are spread out and staying safe. They have about ⅓ of the student body at the school at any one time (~⅓ opted for full remote, then ~⅓ of students are on A days, ~⅓ are on B days). 

      • They are having 2 lunches, and they are using the band & choir rooms in addition to the normal lunch room in order to keep kids 6 feet apart. 

      • They have hand sanitizer available all over the school, donated by Heritage distillery. 

      • They LOVE having kids back and seeing their faces! 

    • Sports - no updates on sports. Mr Benoit will keep parents informed once they know more. 

    • 8th grade moving on ceremony dates - school gets out on Wednesday, June 26th. So they are thinking we will schedule the moving on ceremony for Monday the 23rd. 

    • Superintendent Search - we are still in the process of selecting a new superintendent. Interviews with the finalists will be on Saturday, March 13, 2021 beginning at 8:30am and will be live streamed.     • Questions

      • Parents gave feedback on hybrid schedules 

  • 8th Grade Graduation Plans - discussed what was done last year 

  • Staff Appreciation Ideas (Appreciation week is May  3-7th)  

    • Probably will do something food related. Staff room snacks? 

  • Field project  - Mike gave us some of the back story on the field project. Several years ago money was raised to add seating to the field. This turned out to not be feasible, however we still have the money and would like to do some kind of improvement project with it. 

 Announcements

  • Fondi FUNdraiser is Monday March 29th! Dine in and take out orders can be included. Please say you are with HRMS for it to count.
